I have the old game maker 8 Pro listed in my Windows Library and I thought it would be nessacery to explain why it's listed and the lealities of having shared online.
Legalities: I contacted the developers website about this specific topic... I asked what would happen if somebody was to build a website around game maker 8 and it's projects and other resources.
To shorten the response I got and to use they're own words, They pretty much said "We don't care what happens to that old version anymore. You are free to do what you like with it". Now they never
Explicitly said they won't go after a person for impeding on their trademarks or etc, But I thibk I can list this off for free because of it's age.
Nessacerities: Game Maker 8 taught me everything I know about making fun & excitng games. I recall getting the pro version for FREE on a school computer through they're website. I think it was on their wiki (Or something like that).
The school usually blocks bogus downloads, weird sites or strange behaviour, But imagine my surprise when I clicked download and actually got it. I moved thw file to a USB flash drive and took it home. I was VERY excited...
But I couldn't help but wonder if it was real or not. It was real and that's the version I have listed.
